Document Search

OR operator - the OR (|) operator is inferred. Searching for words separated by a space is the same as using |. For example, entering the search phrase “phoenix scottsdale” is the equivalent of “phoenix | scottsdale”. This search will return all items that contain phoenix or scottsdale.

AND operator - The AND (+) operator will search for documents containing all the words in the search phrase. For example, entering the search phrase “phoenix + scottsdale” will return all items that contain both phoenix and scottsdale.

NOT operator - The NOT (-) operator will search for documents that do not contain the word proceeded with (-). For example, entering the search phrase “phoenix -scottsdale” will return all items that contain the word phoenix but do not contain the word scottsdale.

PHRASE search - Enclosing the search phrase in double quotes will perform an exact search on the words. For example, entering "Phoenix Arizona" will return all items that contain the word Phoenix followed by Arizona.

Fuzzy search - A fuzzy search will return documents that contain a word similar to the search word(s), To do a fuzzy search, use the tilde "~" symbol at the end of a single word. For example, entering the search phrase “blue~” will return all items that contain "blue" along with items that contain a variation of blue for any single character such "blues", and "glue".

Proximity search - A proximity search will return all documents that contain a word within proximity of another word. For example, "hotel airport"~5 will find the items containing "hotel" and "airport" within 5 words of each other in a document.
